Making a Difference Across Our Community

IMG_5405The Junior League of Northern Virginia develops hyper-local community service projects to increase and extend the impact of our activities across many communities in the broad Northern Virginia community. These projects are designed in a Done in a Day (DIAD) or Done in a Meeting (DIAM) project format. Recent DIAD/DIAM projects have included collecting and preparing bagged meals for Carpenter’s Shelter in Alexandria, a food drive for the Herndon Neighborhood Resource Center, and a diaper drive. DIAD projects also support JLNV’s JamPacks project, which collects, stuffs and distributes backpacks full of school supplies to underserved children in our community.
