We are an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism,
developing the potential of women, and improving communities through
the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Our purpose
is exclusively educational and charitable. We reach out to women of
all races, religions and national origins who demonstrate an interest
in and commitment to voluntarism.

Sharing the Junior League of Northern Virginia's goal of "Preparing Children for Success" is The Children's Science Center. The project is in the process of securing temporary museum space in Reston. Our joint goal is to see the doors of the temporary facility open in early 2009. Please click here for more information.

| Strides For Success 2009 |
The 4th annual Strides For Success 5K Run and 1K Fun
Run/Walk took place on Sunday, April 26, 2009, at Fairfax Corner
in Fairfax, VA. The event raised awareness about the importance of
family health and wellness and the growing epidemic of childhood
obesity. Thank you to all who participated this year!

The Junior League shopping mall works like any other online shopping vehicle except now our League benefits from the experience. After entering the shopping mall on the AJLI Web site and selecting an online retailer to visit, you will be asked to designate a Junior League to benefit from your shopping experience.
