The Junior League of Northern Virginia’s Together for the Holidays celebration brought our community together for a festive series of fundraising events filled with creativity, connection, and seasonal cheer.

Throughout early December, JLNV members and supporters participated in a variety of holiday-themed experiences while raising funds for the JLNV Annual Fund. These contributions help power important community initiatives such as:

• Restocking our seven local period pantries
• Supporting the JL Teens program
• Expanding our community grants portfolio
• Sustaining professional development opportunities for community partners
• And much more

We are grateful to everyone who attended, hosted, or supported this year’s events and helped make the season brighter for our community.

Event Highlights

Ornament Making Class: Capture Your Favorite Memories
Participants gathered at Northside Social for a creative evening designing personalized keepsake ornaments using photos and meaningful mementos. The class sold out and produced beautiful one-of-a-kind holiday decorations.

Holiday Spice & Everything Nice Workshop
At Caboose Commons, attendees created custom holiday spice blends perfect for cookies, mulled wine, and gifting. Guests left with handcrafted blends and recipe cards to brighten their holiday meals.

Pour With Purpose at Pattywax Candle Bar

Supporters visited the Pattywax Candle Bar in Reston to craft custom candles while giving back—15% of proceeds supported JLNV’s programs. Many participants also took part in the Honeygrow Dine & Donate, where an additional 20% of purchases benefited JLNV.

Sparkling Soirée
Our celebration concluded with an elegant evening at Ms. Peacock’s Champagne Lounge, where guests enjoyed champagne, desserts, mocktails, and live music by cellist Johnny Walker in a festive holiday atmosphere.

Additional Ways Supporters Gave Back

Many supporters also ordered holiday cards through Minted, using JLNV’s fundraising code to receive a discount while contributing a portion of their purchase to the League.
