Mission and Vision

JLNV Mission

The Junior League of Northern Virginia is an organization of women whose mission is to advance women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training.

Our Vision

Women Around the World as Catalysts for Lasting Community Change.

Our Focus

Women Helping Women – providing access to essential services and professional development opportunities for women and families.  The transition to this focus area is part of the League’s continued commitment to improving the lives of women and families in Northern Virginia.

Our Members

More than 325 women in the Northern Virginia area are members of the JLNV. The women share a common desire to drive positive change in the community. In alignment with our mission, the League provides members with training and skills that will enrich their professional and personal lives. Training opportunities include leadership development seminars, workshops, project management opportunities, and “hands-on” experience. Throughout our history, the JLNV has provided over 20,000 service hours toward JLNV programs and initiatives, 800 hours in leadership training, and more than $2.4 million in financial support to the community.
