Junior League Teens

Introducing Junior League of Northern Virginia Teens

Are you a high school student who’s passionate about making a difference? Do you want to gain real-world leadership experience while giving back to your community? The Junior League of Northern Virginia (JLNV) is proud to introduce JL Teens — an exciting new opportunity for young women in grades 9–12 to grow, lead, and serve.

 JUNIOR LEAGUE TEENS

JL Teens is designed specifically for high school young women (grades 9–12) who want to learn how to lead, grow, and make a difference. This engaging, hands-on program connects teens with the resources, mentorship, and opportunities they need to grow as the next generation of changemakers. JL Teens combines service, leadership development, and teamwork in a supportive, empowering environment that encourages girls to use their voices and take action.

Whether you’re already involved in volunteer work, just beginning your leadership journey, or just curious about your own potential, JL Teens is a place for you to build your confidence, expand your skills, and make a real impact — all while having fun and making new friends.

MISSION

The mission of the The Junior League Teens Program is to empower the next generation of female leaders by fostering a commitment to community service, leadership development, and collaborative action.

Our mission is to inspire and equip teens with the skills, knowledge, and passion necessary to make a meaningful impact in their communities.

Through volunteer opportunities, hands-on training, and community projects, we strive to cultivate a sense of responsibility, leadership, and teamwork among young women, preparing them to be the change-makers of tomorrow.

JL Teens Event Spotlight: Adulting 101

Our JL Teens Program is hosting Adulting 101, a half-day seminar designed to help high-school aged girls build confidence and practical life skills as they prepare for adulthood.

Through interactive discussions with mentors and community leaders, participants will explore topics like financial wellness, emotional intelligence, and other essential skills not always taught in the classroom.

Adulting 101 is open to girls in grades 9–12 who are interested in building lifelong skills and connecting with peers and mentors.
