Fairfax, VA, Oct. 20, 2023  – The Junior League of Northern Virginia is thrilled for the opportunity to continue supporting our community in partnership with the Lorton Community Action Center (LCAC). The mission of the center is to enhance the quality of life for clients by providing food, basic needs, and self-sufficiency programs made possible through the generous support of the community.

As part of deepening its commitment and partnership with LCAC, the League has committed to providing at least 8,000 period products to the center’s clients over the next year.

“The Lorton Community Action Center has had a longstanding relationship with the Junior League of Northern Virginia, which has supported our work over the years of providing food, basic needs, and self-sufficiency programs to the greater Lorton community. This deepened partnership embodies the League’s new focus: Women Helping Women, a commitment to providing essential services and professional development training opportunities for women and families in the local community.
