JLNV Hosts Fourth Annual Junior League Virginia Summit

The Junior League of Northern Virginia (JLNV) hosted the fourth annual Junior League Virginia Summit on Saturday, Nov. 2. This year’s summit, Transformational Leadership: Inspire & Motivate, brought together nearly 100 women from 11 different leagues for a day of leadership development and training focused on helping Junior League members gain the skills and resources needed to become transformational leaders within their respective Leagues and communities. City of Alexandria Councilwoman and Vice Mayor Elizabeth Bennett-Parker gave the keynote address; she spoke about her leadership journey and how her career transformed from business owner to elected official. The workshops included both personal leadership development and league-specific sessions:

  • The CEO in You: Developing Your Personal Strategic Vision presented by Tracy Prabhu of Amazing Grace Development
  • Member Engagement From Recruitment to Retention presented by Victoria Berg of the Association of Junior Leagues International (AJLI)
  • Big Money: Maximizing Event-Based Fundraising presented by Nadine Vargas Stewart of Nine One Nine Consulting and Event Planning
  • In This Together: Leading Across Generations, a panel discussion focused on how to foster diversity and inclusion in the workplace and across the Junior League. Judy Tso, Ann Cody and Alyia Gaskins served as panelists
