Recently the Junior League of Northern Virginia (JLNV) was honored with its inclusion in Reading Is Fundamental of Northern Virginia’s (RIF of NOVA)  50th Anniversary Galaxy of Stars. RIF of NOVA  provides books to deserving children in the community — the City of Alexandria and Arlington, Fairfax, and Prince William counties.  The JLNV began RIF of NOVA  in 1972 in Alexandria, Virginia. After the successful conclusion of a 3-year pilot program, RIF of NOVA was spun off as its own organization. The JLNV is proud of its part in establishing RIF in Northern Virginia and congratulates RIF of NOVA on 50 years of service to Northern Virginia.
