The JLNV will be collecting period products at Port City Brewing Co. in recognition of Period Poverty Awareness Week. Donated products will be used to stock our period pantries. We accept all period products but prefer various sized pads.

Statistics show that 20% of women in the DMV live in poverty– and lack of access to period products is often a hidden consequence. 

Every person should have the right to a safe and healthy period. Menstrual hygiene is considered a basic need, yet accessibility and the cost of period products remains out of reach for too many people. To address these challenges and support our focus area, Women Helping Women, the Junior League of Northern Virginia has launched a Campaign to End Period Poverty.
