MCLEAN, Virginia – Join the Junior League of Northern Virginia (JLNV) for its 2nd Annual Monte Carlo Night, an evening filled with games of chance, a DJ, a silent auction, hors d’oeuvres, and an open bar. The event will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018, from 8 p.m. to midnight at the Army Navy Country Club in Arlington, Va.
JLNV is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving communities. The League aims to improve the Northern Virginia community through the leadership and advocacy of trained volunteers as well as educational programs to strengthen the leadership skills of our volunteers. The League’s community programs focus on combating childhood obesity through the promotion of nutrition education and physical activity, which is proven to enrich health, well-being and academic outcomes.
Childhood obesity affects 1 in 5 children in Northern Virginia and has broad health consequences for children and their families. JLNV is committed to preparing children for success by addressing childhood obesity by empowering families to make healthy eating and active living a priority.
